Kind Heart Brave Mind is a form of artwork described by the artist, Fleur Woods, as Stitched Painting. Fleur explains, "Coming to stitch as a mixed media artist I have taught myself a variety of embroidery techniques which generally don't follow traditional embroidery guides but work for the kind of mark making I enjoy creating."
About the Artist
Fleur Woods is based in the beautiful rural village of Upper Moutere, New Zealand. She is surrounded by vineyards, hop farms, orchards and country gardens so it will come as no surprise that her work is largely inspired by nature.
Stitch is an obsession for Fleur as it marries her love of detail, colour and texture. While Fleur stitches she enjoys quiet reflection and/ or Podcast binging.
